CBSI is proud to announce that Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield recognizes CBSI at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center as one of several "Centers of Excellence" for bariatric surgery in the state of Colorado as of January 1, 2004 - and it was the first designated "Center of Excellence" in the Denver metro area.

After evaluating different bariatric surgery practices in Colorado, Anthem acknowledges that a multidisciplinary program, such as the one CBSI has developed, results in the best possible patient outcomes. Most importantly, complication rates are lower and success rates are higher for high volume comprehensive programs like CBSI.
