CBSI is offering a limited-time special self-pay pricing for weight-loss surgery for 2012.
Our new self-pay option for the Lap-Band is perhaps the lowest in the greater metro area while maintaining the most comprehensive treatment plan. As with all of our obesity surgery, our program is multidisciplinary with all our healthcare professionals on site in order to provide quality, continuity of care.
The CBSI comprehensive treatment package for the self-pay Lap-Band is $9,400. This fee includes:
Preoperative evaluations
surgical
nutritional
psychological
Preoperative nutritional education
Surgery
Anesthesia for surgery
Dietary assistance for 3 months
3 month post-operative follow-up
need for fills for the first 3 months
any needed dietary follow-up
Monthly support group
Educational seminars
Charges that are not included as part of our fee:
Additional potential consultation (ie, pulmonary)

CBSI Gastric Bypass Special Self-Pay Pricing
The CBSI comprehensive treatment package for the self-pay gastric bypass is $21,450. This fee includes:
Pre-operative consultation with Dr. Brown
In house pre-op dietary and psych evaluations (same day as consultation)
In house pre-op nutrition education
Hospital charges
Anesthesia
Surgery
Unlimited post-operative follow-up visits for 90 days
Unlimited dietary support
Unlimited participation in support group
Payment is due 7 days prior to surgery. Diagnostic tests at the hospital are not included in this fee. Patients will be responsible for any additional testing and or pathology fee which will be done the day of surgery at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center."
Billing and Insurance
Before coming to your initial consultation we would like to have you fax your insurance card to us (303-861-9036) so that we can assist you by calling your insurance company and checking your bariatric surgery benefits.
Some insurance companies do have exclusions in their policies for weight loss surgery. An exclusions means that your insurance company will not pay for surgery even if it is proved to be medically necessary. However, there are some insurance companies that will pay for some portion of the surgery. We can help you determine what your insurance benefits are.

About Gastric Bypass
Gastric bypass is a safe and effective bariatric surgery that allows patients to experience dramatic weight loss that is also associated with significant improvement or resolution of obesity-related illnesses.
About the Lap Band
Gastric banding is a popular alternative to the gastric bypass and is a less invasive surgical option. The Lap-Band is adjustable and can be inflated with saline to tighten in order to promote weight loss.
