Bariatric Doctor Thomas R. Brown established the Colorado Bariatric Surgery Institute in 2001. It is a nationally recognized Center of Excellence practice. He is a leading surgeon in the development of bariatric procedures in Colorado. He is the most experienced robotic bariatric surgeon in the Rocky Mountain region. Robotic bariatric surgery is the next step forward in advanced technology in weight-loss surgery. It makes surgery even more precise with quality outcomes. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago.

Bariatric Doctor Thomas R.Brown completed his residency at Western Reserve Care System in Ohio. Also served 3 years in the Air Force at Beale AFB as a staff surgeon before settling in Colorado. He has performed 6,000 bariatric procedures with successful outcomes, over 1,000 of which were performed robotically. Dr. Brown feels that the bariatric program at Parker Adventist Hospital is a comprehensive program. It has a skilled and compassionate multidisciplinary team which is key to preparing patients for surgery as well as managing long-term weight loss. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Brown has remained in contact with many of his first patients. He is committed to helping all his patients to achieve their weight loss and health goals with long-term follow-up.
